‘Scouts camping block prototype’
Biggin Hill, Kent, 2018 - ongoing

A timber de-mountable building system developed for a scout group on a rural campsite in Kent. The proposal replaces a WC block with accessible WC and Shower facilities for the Scouts Association, in the Metropolitan Green Belt and adjoining a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation The proposal is to replace the existing building with larger facilities that provide separate facilities for adults and young people that are wheelchair accessible. As well as accessible shower and WC facilities there is a small office and storage area with kitchenette. The building has a large overhang and is clad with moisture resistant Accoya cladding. The project can close up completely when the camp is not being used off season.
